From evans@nevis1.nevis.columbia.edu Wed Feb 17 16:10:09 1999 Date: Wed, 17 Feb 1999 16:53:33 -0500 From: Hal Evans To: Nevis STT Meeting -- Jerry Blazey , emachado@bu.edu, John Hobbs , Patrick LeDu , James Linnemann , Hal Evans , Meenakshi Narain , John Parsons , Wendy Taylor , Ulrich Heintz , Horst Wahl , Harry Weerts Subject: Final Details: Engineering Meeting Resent-Date: Wed, 17 Feb 1999 16:54:29 -0500 (EST) Resent-From: wahl@FSHEB1 Resent-To: wahl Hi Everyone, Here are some final details about Friday's meeting. They're also repeated on the Web page: http://www.nevis.columbia.edu/~evans/stt/nevis_meet.html First off - if any of you have electronic copies of your talks available yet, please let me know where they are. I'll put links to them on the meeting web page so that Eric Hazen can get access to them easily. If you can't get everything together before Thursday evening - we will FAX a copy of your talk to Eric on Friday. For those of you staying at the Ardsley Acres directions to it are quite simple. Just follow the directions for getting to Nevis 'Once you're on the Saw Mill River Parkway going North' available off of the Nevis Labs web page (there's a link on the meeting web page given above). Instead of turning left as you get off the Parkway at exit 17, turn right. Take the next possible right and you'll be on the road that runs in front of the Ardsley Acres. In fact you can see the hotel from the Parkway on your right just before you get to exit 17. For those of you staying downtown. The bus to Nevis labs will leave at 8:30 am from a parking lot on 121st Street between Amsterdam avenue and Morningside. In the Columbia area, Amsterdam is the next street east of Broadway (it runs North-South). Finally for the important bit. We have reservations at a restaurant called Metisse which is located at 105th and Broadway for 7:30 on Friday evening. If you would like to go but haven't yet told me so - please do so as soon as possible. The restaurant is quite small and I will have to negotiate to add more people to our group. The earlier I start - the more likely it will work. See you Friday! Regards - Hal ^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v | Hal Evans | | evans@nevis1.columbia.edu | | Physics Dept.
