Todd Adams' Professional History

Research

Current

My current research is focused on the CMS experiment at CERN. The CMS collaboration studies proton-proton collisions at the world's highest energies ever achieved in a lab. I am particularly interested in searches for new particles, especially long-lived particles that may have been missed elsewhere.

I have previously (2001-2012) worked on the D0 experiment at Fermi National Accelerator Lab (Fermilab). On D0, I concentrated on searches for new particles, top quark physics, trigger development, and simulations. The D0 collaboration studied proton-anti-proton collision using the Tevatron accelerator.

Post-doctoral Research

My post-doctoral research involved neutrino interactions. This work is part of Fermilab Experiment 815, NuTeV.

I also worked on Monte Carlo studies of vertex detection at a future Next Linear Collider.

Doctoral Thesis

My thesis work involved a search for exotic mesons in the 1-3 GeV region. This work was being done as part of the Brookhaven Experiment 852. More information can be found on these pages:
